Hello friends, so glad you are reading my diastasis recti postpartum journey, so I thought I’d introduce myself! 😃
I am a mom of a 17-month-old baby girl and a 3 yr old boy. Here are 10 facts about me!
1) We live in Ontario, Canada. 🇨🇦
2) I speak fluent Cantonese, Mandarin, English, knowledge in Korean and Japanese! 💌
3) I love chicken wings, ramen, pho, sushi and seafood!🍙🍛🍤
4) I lost 35 lbs working out at home ~30min a day 🙆
5) I have a full-time job while coaching almost full-time at the same time 👣
6) I love watching Asian drama like #TVB or Korean drama 📺
7) I am an introvert. I don’t really like to initiate a conversation, but through personal development from coaching, I have improved! 💁♀️
8) My favourite season is summer. 🏖️
9) I prefer practical over materials, for example, a big spacious and functional no name diaper bag over a stylish brand name bag.🛒
10) I had a severe diastasis recti 4.5 finger gap and deep depth, still recovering. 🤰
Do we have anything in common? Nice to meet you all!
In addition, I have no prior health & fitness background, no knowledge in nutrition never went to the gym,
but
I had a BURNING desire to CHANGE.
I wanted to CHANGE more than I wanted to stay the SAME.
❓Was it difficult to work out with a baby and a toddler around me? – Heck yes., but I don’t mind.
Though, I would rather workout without diastasis recti postpartum journey interruption. Not having to change diapers, or have a giant pink ball rolling around me, or my baby pulling my hair in the middle of the workout. I probably will get a much faster result.
❓Was I exhausted? – 99.9% of the time.
Tell me which mom isn’t tired with the baby constantly waking up at night and toddler whines and demands, no babysitter, needy baby, I will send her a gift.
I didn’t let myself think twice. When it is time, I change and press play. It is that simple. I would rather have “feeling great” take over “feeling exhausted”.
❓Do I crave for carbs? – oh ALL the time, but it is a lot less since I exercise and drink my superfood smoothie daily.
I LOVE eating and will always! That’s how I gained like 20lbs because I used to work at Chinatown. Every lunch, I’d either get lunch or get a drink, or a snack. I still eat them, but in a much more controlled manner.
❓Was it worth it? – Without the doubt 100%
I am feeling so much stronger and healthier. I am setting an example for my kids what it means to be consistent and disciplined.
It all started by wanting to change for the better,
