A few of my mama friends asked me lately, “how do you stay so motivated with your workout, I see your workout stories everyday!!?”
Let’s face it, some days we just aren’t motivated, I am no exception.🙋
How often do we FEEL like working out? 💢
How often do we FEEL like choosing a salad instead of noodles?💢
Here was the thing I knew I was feeling. I knew I want to change. I could not stand the way I looked in front of the mirror. I didn’t want to hide underneath baggy clothes. 😖😖 I really wanted to feel confident again and wear whatever I want.
While I don’t want to workout, I made a DECISION to do something HARD.
I was EXHAUSTED😫. Emily was only 3 months at that time and Jordan just turned 2. She woke up every hr at night, and the toddler demands my attention every single second. Who can relate?🤯
But I KNOW I wanted to change more than I wanted to stay the same. It was my internal drive that pushes me to sign up for the workout and check-in with my accountability group.👯👯
Even if I felt like puking, paused a million times to serve them🍼🍼👣, or carried the baby with me, I did it anyway.
I had this huge SATISFACTION at the end of the 30 minutes😀. As I was ticking off the box, stepping on the scale and seeing how my body changed every single day, I saw myself beaming in front of the mirror!
I learnt that everyone wants the easy solution, fad diet, magic pills, “running” on the treadmill while watching an entire movie, but is EASY going to get us the result?
Change is supposed to be HARD✊. If it is easy, most wellness and health company or gyms would be out of business.
You have to find something within you that makes you want to change. Ask yourself WHY you want to change, and then ask yourself Why to that answer at least 3 times, and you will find the real reason that connects to your emotion.💗
🛑So stop saying ” I wish I can be more motivated like you”.🛑.. because you just have to take that leap of faith and go.
And every day, we got to remind ourselves, why is this important to us in a deeper emotional level❓ Our internal drive will kick in, and we will WANT to do it!!
Lastly, I will leave you with my mantra, this apply to both personal or fitness mindset “Live a few years most people won’t and live the rest of your life most people can’t”
